Dance Lessons: Our dedicated "retired" dance instructors, Michael & Arlene, aka as the "Dance Committee", have found a wonderful new instuctor for our club. Please welcome Cody Johnson. Cody has extensive experience in teaching many styles of dance, especially the East Coast & West Coast Swing dances that our members & guests are so fond of. Cody informs us that he will help us become better dancers and have a lot of fun at the same time. And you know, after talking to this young man, he has me convinced. Come join us and see what you think!
Dance lessons for the month of May: Cody will be teaching the East Coast Swing during May. To all the new members who have joined us recently the East Coast is the original Bop. This is the one that started it all, and is probably the most often performed dance. To all our established dancers don't be afraid to extend a little extra help to these folks. Cody can't get to everyone on one night. So, it's up to us to make sure they get a good start. After all, it's these new folks that will make our club grow.
New Members!! Jump in here and get started. It is much easier to put those dance steps together if you start with the first basic lesson.
Established Members!! (aka dance pros) If new folks join us in the 2nd or 3rd week of lessons, please take a few minutes to help the new ones with the dance steps. It's not fair to expect Cody to stop and go backwards with the lesson. That would also be boring to the folks who have been there and are ready to move on to the next level. It is difficult to accomodate everyone, so it must be a joint effort. That is why this is such a Great Club. EVERYONE MAKES A JOINT EFFORT!!!!
